\"\"<\/a>Stavo andando a scuola in auto quando su una rotonda di Viareggio ho visto un cane. L’ho notato perch\u00e9 traversava la strada senza quel criterio che di solito hanno i cani randagi; era evidentemente spaesato e le macchine rischiavano di schiacciarlo. E poi ho notato il suo sguardo. Non credevo che un cane potesse avere quello sguardo. I suoi occhi erano persi, esprimevano disperato smarrimento, come gli occhi di una persona. Non \u00e8\u00a0 retorica, non sono un animalista, ho visto proprio questo nei suoi occhi.<\/p>\n

Era stato abbandonato poco prima. E chi l’ha abbandonato sono sicuro, avr\u00e0 avuto mille scuse: ‘Porta malattie e ora abbiamo il bambino’ oppure: ‘Dobbiamo andare in Sardegna in albergo non lo vogliono e non sappiamo a chi lasciarlo’, o magari: ‘Quando l’ho preso era cos\u00ec carino, non mi aspettavo che diventasse tanto grosso’.<\/p>\n

Nel Piccolo Principe<\/a> la volpe dice: “Tu diventi responsabile per sempre di quello che hai addomesticato”. Non ci sono scuse, ragioni, argomenti capaci di resistere a questa verit\u00e0, crollano tutte miseramente.<\/p>\n

Naturalmente la frase della volpe vale anche per le persone.<\/p>\n

Ho una gatta bellissima, nera nera, e il manto morbido come seta. \u00c8 lei che ogni tanto mi abbandona, sapete come sono i gatti. Ma ogni volta ritorna, e io l’aspetto, perch\u00e9 lei mi ha addomesticato e sa che sar\u00e0 responsabile di me per sempre.<\/p>\n
